About our Kitchens Design and Planning Service
A kitchen lifespan should be at least 20 years, therefore a lot of time and thought needs to go into creating that perfect space. Most of us do think about the surfaces, doors and handles but the practicality of the space is most important. The relationship between cooking, preparing and storing will aid in your enjoyment of your kitchen. Preparation areas, appliances, food storage and the endless non-consumables (crockery, glasses, cutlery etc) that we all have need to be taken into careful consideration.
Mottram Interiors will measure up the space and take a full brief from the client, as much detail as possible is needed here. Do you like to chop vegetables next to the sink or next to the oven? Are you left or right handed? Would you like to entertain in there too? Do you want to be able to chat with friends/family while cooking? Where do you want your waste? Do you need special storage for recycling? The list of questions goes on!
We also talk through all the aesthetic choices with you – kitchen units, surfaces, appliances, handles, lighting, flooring and where possible show you samples.
The designs come back in CAD which helps you visualise the space with the look and feel of the kitchen. Sample doors, handles and worktops are also provided to help you make your choice. A fully trained kitchen fitter removes and disposes of your old kitchen with minimal interference to your life and fits your gleaming new kitchen.
